A recipe tells you what to do; a tool adapts to your situation: how much glue you have, what went wrong with your slime, what you feel like making today. No tool asks you to create an account, and nothing you type is sent anywhere: everything is calculated in your browser. The logbook and the daily challenge keep your wins on your device only. If you allow analytics, Google Analytics only counts which tool is used and which choice is made (a recipe, a problem, a verdict), never your amounts, your fidget names or your logbook.
Which tool for which situation?
- Before you start, the Slime Quantity Calculator adapts a recipe to your bottle of glue or to the number of kids. It starts from the amounts on our recipe pages, written for ½ cup (120 ml) of glue, and gives the activator “to start,” with a maximum not to go over.
- When your slime turns out wrong, the Slime Fixer goes through twelve problems (sticky, runny, hard, dry, full of bubbles, smells bad…) with the cause, the steps to save it and what to change next time.
- When you’re out of ideas, the Slime Idea Generator picks a random texture, color, add-in, theme and a little challenge. The Daily Slime Challenge does the same thing just once a day, with the same draw for everyone.
- To track your progress, the Slimer’s Logbook checks off the recipes you’ve made, gives them stars and unlocks badges.
- For fidget trades, the W, F or L calculator compares both sides in points, never in dollars or any other money, and the printable board works as a play mat.
A slime afternoon, for example
Two kids each want their own slime. You get an idea from the generator, then calculate the amounts for two kids: 2 portions of ¼ cup (60 ml), so ½ cup (120 ml) of glue, exactly the recipe on the page. You follow the steps, and the adult pours the activator. Still sticky? The Slime Fixer reminds you to knead for a good minute before adding anything. At the end, you check off the recipe in the logbook.
What the tools don’t do
They don’t replace the recipe or the adult: in all our glue recipes, an adult pours the activator. They don’t keep anything on a server: the logbook and the challenge streak disappear if you clear your browser data. And the trade calculator gives no prices: a fidget’s rarity is chosen by the players themselves, because it changes from one playground to the next.
