How does it work?
Every night at midnight (your local time), a new challenge appears. It’s the same for everyone on the same day: you can do it as a family, with friends or in class, then compare your slimes. The challenge combines a texture (with a link to its recipe), a color, an add-in, a theme and a little twist to spice things up.
Once you’ve made it, press “I did the challenge”: the day is saved in your Slimer’s Logbook, and your streak grows. Miss a day and the streak goes back to zero… Come back tomorrow for the next one!
The challenge, step by step
- Read today’s card: a name (the theme, then the color), the texture with a link to its recipe, the color, the add-in and the twist, for example “make it in under 15 minutes” or “make a mini version.”
- Get the supplies for the recipe ready; if your bowl isn’t the size used on the recipe page, adjust the amounts with the calculator.
- Make the slime and stick to the twist; the adult pours the activator.
- Press “I did the challenge”: the button changes to “Today’s challenge: done!” and your streak shows up right below it.
- Challenge someone: “Share the challenge” opens your phone’s share menu, or copies the text and the link so you can paste them into a message.
Under the card, the “Yesterday” line reminds you of the previous day’s challenge, which is handy for comparing with the people who did it.
Questions that come up a lot
- “I did the challenge yesterday but forgot to press the button.” The button only records the current day: a day that’s over can’t be checked off afterward.
- “My streak didn’t change this morning.” Until you’ve done today’s challenge, the streak you see is yesterday’s. It only stops if a whole day goes by without a challenge.
- “I pressed it by mistake.” A completed challenge can’t be undone; only the “Clear my logbook” button resets everything, recipes included.
Where is your streak kept?
Your streak and the challenges you’ve completed stay in your browser, on this device. There’s no account, and we never receive your streak or your logbook; if you’ve allowed analytics, Google Analytics only counts the fact that a challenge was completed. If you clear your browser data or switch devices, the logbook starts over. The challenge doesn’t check that the slime was actually made either, and there’s no leaderboard: it’s played on your honor.
